At the 5th Session of the Senate of the Ionian University for the academic year 2017-2018 on 29 November 2017, the creation of the Centre for Continuing Education and Lifelong Learning (C.E.DI.B.I.M.) at the Ionian University was approved as follows:
ESTABLISHMENT OF THE TRAINING AND LIFELONG LEARNING CENTRE OF THE IONIAN UNIVERSITY

Based on the provisions of Law 4485/2017 (article 48), following a proposal of the Senate, a decision of the Minister of Education, Research and Religious Affairs, published in the Government Gazette, establishes a Training and Lifelong Learning Centre at the Ionian University.

The Centre is a unit of the Foundation that ensures coordination and interdisciplinary cooperation in the development of continuing education, continuing education, training and lifelong learning in general. The educational or training programmes may also be implemented in cooperation with universities of applied sciences or TEI or research centres in the country, as well as with foreign institutions recognised as similar institutions, by decision of the Rector's Council, following the recommendation of the Council of the Centre. The person responsible for the design, organisation and implementation of each project and programme of further education, training, continuing education and lifelong learning in general shall be the scientific person in charge of each project.
